The University of Texas at Tyler invites nominations, inquiries and applications for the Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences.
The Dean serves as Chief Academic Officer responsible for executive management of the College and its full range of programs and initiatives.
With 9 academic departments, 109 full-time faculty, and nearly 1,900 students, including over 200 graduate students. The College of Arts and Sciences is one of the largest colleges at the University, conferring about 350 bachelorsí and mastersí degrees annually in 16 different majors, and serving nearly 5,000 undergraduate students each year in their core curricula.
The successful candidate will be a visionary, entrepreneurial and dynamic leader who can shape, articulate, lead and implement the purposeful and engaging mission of the College, setting the scholarly and pedagogical direction, and spearheading academic and research initiatives.
The University of Texas at Tyler is an emerging force in Texas higher education, with a national reputation in high-demand ﬁelds such as Business and Nursing.
