Assistant Professor in Residence

The Department of Psychological Sciences at the University of Connecticut in Storrs seeks to fill a full-time faculty position at the Hartford Campus. The position will be for a non-tenure track “In-Residence” faculty, which can lead to long-term multi-year contracts. The successful candidate will teach seven undergraduate courses per academic year or the equivalent. Other potential responsibilities include advising undergraduate majors and outreach activities for the Psychological Sciences Department at the Hartford Campus.
Applicants must have a Ph.D. in Psychology or related field conferred by August 22, 2018, a commitment to excellence in teaching, and experience mentoring undergraduate students.
Preferred qualifications include the ability to contribute to the diversity and excellence of the learning experience, background in research methods, teaching expertise that complements that of current faculty, evidence of an interest in continuing previous research activity, and experience and interest in working with diverse communities within an urban campus setting.
