Teaches students effectively in assigned classes and maintains office hours for student consultation.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Demonstrated ability to teach Design and Graphics courses, which may include both computer-based and non-computer based courses.
Demonstrated software knowledge and experience should include Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator and the rest of the Adobe Suites and demonstrated in depth knowledge of the Macintosh operating environment if applying for the Digital Imaging position.
Demonstrated knowledge and experience of hand drawing and illustration skills if applying for the Basic Illustration position.
Exhibit good classroom management skills.
Must be able to maintain efficiently and accurately student records and meet deadlines associated with student performance and administrative details.
Maintain student records, develop course curriculum and advise students.
Participate in college activities and professional development as well as other duties expected of part-time faculty.
May be required to lift and move materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
Minimum Knowledge and Experience
Associate's degree in Art or Computer Graphic Design and three years non-teaching, visual communications industry related experience.
