RESEARCH ANALYST - JOB #2562
Pensacola State College

The Research Analyst is a 12-month full-time administrative position. The Research Analyst assists in planning and completing research projects; collects and analyzes data; prepares statistical summaries; manages new and existing survey instruments; and assists in facilitating the presentation of research activities. Additionally, the duties to be performed include, but are not limited to, assisting in the development and implementation of research projects and surveys that support planning and research needs at the College; assisting in data gathering functions to respond to reporting and institutional management needs; working collaboratively to provide reports and information to College stakeholders; preparing and making presentations; assisting in preparing or creating reports and dashboards; and providing technical and analytical support to College stakeholders as assigned. This position reports to the Director of Institutional Research.

 

Job Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Graduation from an accredited institution with a bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, or a related quantitative discipline. Experience using Microsoft Office software applications including, but not limited to, Word, Excel, and Access. Successful results of a criminal background check are required.

Pursuant to College policy, it is an employment eligibility requirement for an applicant to meet the requirements of § 435.04(2), Florida Statutes, related to background investigations. Any person failing to meet the requirements of the statute will be deemed not qualified to hold employment in this position. A Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) approved background check will be conducted on every successful candidate as a condition of employment, and any person who fails to disclose any adverse information contained in the background investigation at the time of submitting the employment application will be disqualified from employment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience using statistical analysis software packages such as SPSS and SAS; experience in statistical data collection; and experience using Tableau Desktop.

SALARY RANGE:

$25,000.00 - $40,000.00 (Depending on the qualifications, the salary is negotiable. However, the College does not generally hire at the top of the range.)
