International Student Program Specialist (One or More Positions)
South Orange County Community College District
Under direction from assigned supervisory or management staff, performs a full range of administrative, programmatic, and technical duties in support of the International Student Program at an assigned College including duties related to the recruitment and admission of international students; processes, reviews, and approves international student admissions applications; maintains and updates student records and reports; provides information and assistance to international students; provides highly complex staff assistance to College administrators regarding laws, policies, and procedures related to international students; investigates and resolves a wide range of problems; and coordinates the daily activities and operations of the International Students Program Office.
Education and Experience Guidelines:
- Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying.
- Equivalent to two years of college level course work in liberal studies, foreign studies, or a related field.
- Three years of increasingly responsible administrative and programmatic experience that includes experience interpreting and ensuring program compliance with rules and regulations, preferably in an educational environment.
License or Certificate:
- Certification from the Department of Homeland Security, Bureau of Citizenship & Immigration Services to serve as the Designated School Official.
