Landscape Architecture Assistant Professor Position

The NDSU Landscape Architecture Program is a fully LAAB-accredited undergraduate program with a 34-year history of landscape architecture in a 100-year-old department. We are a growing program situated in the Department of Architecture and Landscape Architecture. We offer collaborative teaching, research, and service learning across the Great Plains region that extends to the borders of Idaho and Washington. Our facilities are located in downtown Fargo. The Department is active in Community Design and Service Learning. NDSU is a research focused institution.
Our program is designed as a collaborative, studio-based, and interdisciplinary education in a vibrant urban setting. Our students create regionally focused projects that have immediate correlations to practice around the globe. The curriculum allows students to master a design foundation through leading technology, profession practice and theory-based thinking, along with the knowledge of building forms in the landscape.
The Assistant Professor position is a 9-month, tenure-track, full-time, benefited faculty position to begin in August 2018.
We are seeking candidates with excellent design abilities and focused research or creative activities. Teaching responsibilities include a lecture or seminar course and a design studio each semester.
Other activities include program and departmental governance, pursue research and scholarly activities, and advise students with their design thesis projects.
