Clark University’s Multicultural and First Generation Student Support seeks to fill the position of Administrative Coordinator. Reporting to the Director of the Multicultural and First Generation Student Support, the successful candidate will provide general office oversight and assists the Director with various projects and initiatives. The Administrative Coordinator will involve heavily in the logistical/administrative planning and execution of programs, trainings and initiatives that support the holistic success of ALANA (Asian-, Latino-, African-, Native- American, and Multiracial) and first generation college students.
Duties and Responsibilities
Included in a range of responsibilities, the Administrative Coordinator will provide direct support to student workers and programs including the ACE Summer Institute, Connections@Clark, monthly workshops, annual events, and sustained support groups. In addition to general office support, this also includes tracking receipt/spending, providing direct supervision to the student staff, updating the website, marketing office/institutional resources, as well as managing and staffing the McCann Resource Room. The Administrative Coordinator will collaborate with campus partners to ensure the success of programs, including ordering catering; room set ups, media services and maintaining office supplies as well as other duties as assigned.
The successful candidate will have experience with managing multiple projects simultaneously, demonstrate success working effectively in a busy office environment and demonstrate ability to create and maintain an inclusive, supportive environment for underrepresented students. In addition, the successful candidate should have the ability to communicate effectively across cultures; ability to be a good team player, while also working autonomously; willingness to maintain a flexible schedule to accommodate occasional evening or weekend programs as needed. Previous experience in office environment strongly preferred; Student and/or student staff supervision experience preferred.
Technical qualifications include solid knowledge in MS Office, EMS Event Management System, Adobe Photoshop, and social media.
This is a part-time, 27 hours per week, 12 months position with excellent benefits, which include 4 weeks’ vacation, generous retirement plan, free use of campus fitness center and many more.
