Assistant/Associate Professor in Theatre Costume Design; Tenure Track
University of Tennessee, Knoxville

The University of Tennessee seeks a qualified individual to teach Costume Design and related courses in costume design and technology in BA and MFA programs. Annual production assignments in design required with Clarence Brown Theatre (LORT and University productions.).

Expectations include continuing creative research and/or professional activity as a costume designer, recruitment for both the MFA and BA programs, and service to the Department, College, and University. A hallmark of the design program at UTK is the concentration on diverse thinking and the study and exposure to international design. International travel will be an expectation of this position.

Start date: August 1, 2018.

Salary: competitive with full benefits

Job Requirements

Terminal Degree (MFA or PhD) or professional equivalency required. College-level teaching experience required. Professional activity and promise expected.
