Job Description

The Program Assistant provides administrative support to the Program Coordinator for the Business and Information Technology Department in the Continuing Education and Workforce Development Division (CEWD). The position requires strong organizational, administrative, financial recordkeeping, and computer skills. Additionally, this position requires effective and collaborative communication skills to interface with students, instructors, and various college departments both within and outside of the CEWD division.

The work schedule for this position is 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. 5:00 p.m. Flexibility is required.

  • What is your level of experience (basic, intermediate, advanced) with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)? Please identify your level for each application listed.

Job Requirements

Required Skills

  • Associate of Arts degree and/ or 5+ years of office experience required, background in continuing education and business and information technology industry knowledge preferred
  • Required knowledge, skills and abilities: accounting and budgeting, proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite programs, internet, email, scheduling tools, and record keeping
  • Accuracy and attention to detail are required
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Must be able to work independently
