The Department of Chemistry at the University of Massachusetts is embarking on a strategic hiring program enabled by a $102M investment in a new Physical Sciences Building and a $45M investment in the University's core facilities. Applications are invited for one full time, tenure track faculty position at the Assistant Professor level to begin September 2018 or thereafter. We seek applicants who will develop or continue vigorous research programs in the area of materials chemistry. Areas of interest include, but are not limited to, materials characterization, the use of physical methods to study and characterize molecules and materials at interfaces, and the design and synthesis of new materials/biomaterials.
We are seeking talented applicants qualified for an assistant professor position. Under exceptional circumstances, highly qualified candidates at other ranks may receive consideration.
A Ph.D. degree or equivalent in Chemistry or a related field is required.
