$66,000 - $75,900 (dependent on experience and other considerations)
Hourly Rate (Part-Time)
$31.73 per hour
Responsible for planning, directing and administering the college human resources functions. Acts as liaison with District human resources and payroll offices. Supervises location payroll functions and ensures accurate and timely processing. Researches problems and recommends solutions within approved policies and procedures utilizing independent judgment and discretion. Serves as Affirmative Action Officer for location.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Administers human resources functions including employment, orientation, compensation and benefits programs. Processes or reviews forms for completeness and accuracy including forms for employment, insurance enrollment/claims, performance evaluation, special employment agreements, promotion and termination. Coordinates employment process by reviewing applications, training search committees and serving as primary resource. Plans, develops and implements time lines and procedures for college wide human resources/payroll functions including benefits, job evaluation, performance evaluation and special employment agreements. Supervises payroll input and insures accurate payments and timely processing. Facilitates the formation of search committees. Assists supervisors and employees in understanding personnel policies; researches and investigates problems and recommends solutions through appropriate channels. Coordinates annual performance evaluation process. Maintains data and produces statistical reports related to affirmative action, personnel turn over and budgeting. Assists chief financial officer with the development of the college personnel budget. Develops and presents oral and/or written communications related to payroll processing, performance evaluation, affirmative action and benefits. Plans and coordinates training sessions as needed. Serve as a resource contact to students and staff regarding such issues as civil rights, ADA and sexual harassment. Performs related duties as assigned.
This position will serve in the capacity of Associate Director of Human Resources and will report to the Executive Director of Human Resources. This position will be responsible for four main functions: 1) overseeing a strong team of HR specialists who provide outstanding customer services to college employees, helping them resolve disputes with supervisors, co-workers, and subordinates, and providing information on HR policies and practices; 2) investigating and leading the resolution of more serious issues such as significant employee complaints, harassment allegations, discrimination, and situations involving significant interpersonal conflict in the workplace; 3) acting as the Deputy Title IX Coordinator, leading investigations or acting as counsel to Title IX Investigators as needed, in conjunction with the Title IX Administrator, 4) ensuring compliance with employment law and policies, including maintenance of appropriate records and training staff on compliance issues.
*Master's degree in HR Management or related field preferred.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Ability to develop and implement methods and procedures for improving and facilitating personnel processes as well as establish and maintain effective working relationships with the college community and general public. Ability to utilize computer technology to access data, maintain records, generate reports and communicate with others. Requires demonstrated oral and written communication skills to interact with individuals from diverse backgrounds. Strong knowledge and experience providing effective customer service.

Minimum Knowledge and Experience
Bachelor's degree or higher plus four years of experience in managing human resources functions, including supervision and payroll or Associate’s degree plus six years of experience in managing human resources functions, including supervision and payroll or graduation from high school or equivalent plus eight years of experience in managing human resources functions, including supervision and payroll. Official transcripts will be required. ***Will be subject to a criminal background check and fingerprint check.***
