Position Summary

Responsible for the operational leadership, design, development and strategic plan for the assigned areas of responsibility in a cost-effective and time-efficient manner.  Responsible for the day-to-day operation which includes managing committees and staff and developing business plans to accomplish the goals, mission and vision of the District.  Responsibilities include financial management, organizational development, staff management, and program operations.  

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Provides the vision and overall strategic direction for an organization to create and drive business decisions using insights and analytics.  Responsible for the operational leadership in the management of strategic, technical and financial forecasting and analysis.  Oversees the development of pro forma financial analysis and models for use by all levels of management to assist with effective financial decision-making.  Provides recommendations to the executive leadership team to develop measurements supporting board and district strategic priorities.  Develops models based on changing practices or mandates from various local, state and federal agencies.  Responsible for staying informed and keeps up with the latest industry trends and best practices.  Responsible for leading various initiatives to support business growth.  Builds trust with the Board, finance committee, staff and various agencies at multiple locations to provide excellent customer service.  Manage a team responsible for providing detailed analysis and recommendations in business development, operations and strategic planning.  Collaborates with other departments to complete district-wide projects, prioritizing each project to meet the goals of the department.  Leads initiatives to analyze complex business problems and issues using data from internal and external sources.  Advises business leaders by providing data-based strategic direction to identify and address business issues and opportunities.  Ensures that policies, procedures and business management methodologies align with the district vision.  Utilize financial and statistical databases using SQL, SAS or similar business intelligence extraction and analysis tools.  Determines the practicality of data used in the analysis, identifies outliers and nonconforming variables.  Leads multiple work groups in financial modeling for business solutions, offering several solutions to improve processes or business practices.  Supervise approximately 2 or more full time employees and manage a budget of approximately $300,000+.  Performs other duties as required.

Responsible for executing operating strategies and plans, manages staff, sustains the operational financial plan and oversees the administrative management of the organization(s).  Demonstrated success to effectively lead change and organizational growth through strategic planning.  Analyze strategies to move the organization forward, setting goals, evaluating the process and implementing improvements.  Demonstrated track record of success in an administrative leadership position overseeing the operations of an organization(s) or program(s).  Maintains a solid relationship with executive leadership, administrator, staff and students to achieve the goals of the organization; cultivating a positive work environment.  Adheres to high ethical standards and follows and implements process and procedures to comply with District guidelines.  Excellent analytical skills with exceptional organizational skills and the ability to think strategically and tactfully.   The ability to present concepts effectively and influence all levels of the organization and administration.   Evaluates options and actions based on trends and conditions in the environment, and the vision and values of the organization.   Attains results through critical thinking, problem-solving, planning, execution and continuous improvement of the organization.  Assess problems by identifying the cause, gather, and analyze relevant information, generate possible solutions, and resolve the problem in the best interest of the District.  Strong written and verbal communication skills; a persuasive and passionate communicator with excellent interpersonal and multidisciplinary project skills.

Minimum Knowledge and Experience

Master’s degree in related field plus four (4) years of experience in financial analysis.  Official transcripts are required.  *** Will be subject to a criminal background check.  Some positions may be subject to a fingerprint check. ***
