Instructor II or Senior Instructor Position
The College of Nursing invites applications to fill a three-year term Instructor II/Senior Instructor position (#24149). Qualified candidates will possess substantive knowledge and relevant nursing experience in obstetrics and women’s health or maternal-child and women’s health nursing.
Start Date: August 1, 2017 or as soon as possible. Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
The College of Nursing offers a BN undergraduate program and graduate programs. At the graduate level, we offer a Master’s Program, which includes a Nurse Practitioner (NP) stream, as well as administration, education and clinical practice streams, and PhD Program in Nursing. We have four Chairs; one CIHR, two MHRC, and a chair endowed by the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation. We have clinical and research links with other universities nationally and internationally and with a number of research institutes in Manitoba. The College has a strong commitment to the Aboriginal community, to accessibility and diversity, and to a wide range of practice environments. The successful candidate will contribute to the academic development, delivery and evaluation of theory and clinical nursing courses in the undergraduate program. The incumbent will integrate scholarship into clinical and classroom teaching; provide leadership on the integration of relevant concepts related to the undergraduate program; and, participate in professional and community organizations. The successful candidate will be required to offer courses on-site or through delivery by various distance education modalities.
