Call Center Specialist

The Call Center Specialist is vital member of the collegeís admissions and recruitment team who is responsible for providing an outstanding level of customer service to students, faculty, staff, and members of the community at all times.† This individual will be relied upon to provide basic information about college policies, admissions procedures, programs of study, and other areas by utilizing multiple resources of information.† The Specialist will serve as an internal recruiter for the college, having a major impact on enrollment by helping to convert prospective applicants into enrolled students.† Some of the most important skills that this individual should possess include the ability to effectively disseminate an array of information to a wide and diverse audience and the ability to consistently perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
The work schedule for this position is 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. three days a week, 10:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. two days a week. Flexibility is required during peak registration times.
College of Southern Maryland conducts background checks in order to ensure the safety and well-being of the college's staff and students. The final candidate for this position will be subject to the following background checks: Criminal History Check.
