Associate Research Scientist in Neural Engineering

The Laboratory for Intelligent Imaging and Neural Computing (LINC) in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at Columbia University in New York City is looking to hire an Associate Research Scientist in the area of Neural Engineering.
The position involves conducting individual research, supervising and mentoring more junior researchers and assisting and obtaining extramural funding. Important is that the individual have a vision on how he/she sees brain computer interfaces being merged with artificial intelligence platforms to enable new forms of human—machine interaction
Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering, Computer Science, Psychology, Neuroscience, or equivalent. Postdoctoral experience (at least 2 years) in Neuroscience and/or Biomedical Engineering.
Demonstrated experience in neuroimaging, including both fMRI and EEG. Background in brain-computer interfaces a plus. Strong ability to work in a multidisciplinary research environment.
The candidate, in addition to having excellent technical abilities, must be a strong oral and written communicator.
